Top 10 Finalists Unveiled for the Prestigious Aster Guardians Global Nursing Award 2023

The wait is finally over as the top 10 finalists for the highly-anticipated Aster Guardians Global Nursing Award 2023 have been announced. Hailing from different countries around the world, these exceptional nurses were selected from a pool of 52,000 registered participants from 202 countries. The finalists include Cathy Cribben-Pearse from UAE, Christine Mawia Sammy from Kenya, Gloria Ceballo from Panama, Jincy Jerry from Ireland, Lilian Yew Siew Mee from Singapore, Margaret Helen Shepherd from England, Michael Joseph Dino from Philippines, Shanti Teresa Lakra from India, Teresa Fraga from Portugal, and Wilson Fungameza Gwessa from Tanzania.

The selection process was rigorous, with the finalists undergoing a thorough review by Ernst & Young LLP, a Screening-Jury, and the Grand Jury. The public will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite nurse starting next week. The grand winner, who will receive a cash prize of $250,000, will be determined after a final evaluation by the Grand Jury, consisting of top industry leaders in the field of nursing.

Dr. Azad Moopen, the Founder Chairman and Managing Director of Aster DM Healthcare, expressed his excitement for the award and the impact it will have on the nursing community. “The dedication and hard work put in by nurses every day is truly remarkable and deserves recognition,” he said. “With over 50,000 nurses vying for the award, choosing the top 10 was a challenging task for the jury, but each finalist has made a significant contribution to the field of nursing.”

The winner of the Aster Guardians Global Nursing Award 2023 will be announced at a gala event in London, UK on May 12th, 2023, which is also International Nurses Day.
