The CPHI Pharma Awards, one of the industry’s most prestigious accolades, has opened its doors to entries for its 20th anniversary edition. This year’s awards will feature 12 categories that highlight the best and brightest innovators, scientists, entrepreneurs, and social leaders from around the world. Three new categories have been created for the 2023 edition, which will reflect the rapidly evolving pharmaceutical industry’s changing landscape, including a new Start-up Award, the Accelerating Innovation Award, and the Heart of Pharma Award.
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the pharmaceutical industry has undergone a paradigm shift, and innovation has taken center stage in almost every aspect of the industry, from new drug and device development methodologies to more sustainable and philanthropic initiatives. The Start-up Award will honor exhibitors from the Start-up Zone at CPHI Barcelona, where the next generation of entrepreneurs and start-ups can showcase their innovative ideas and solutions. The Accelerating Innovation Award, formerly the Covid Response Award, recognizes the best innovative solutions that help combat the impact of global healthcare emergencies or future health emergencies. Finally, the Heart of Pharma Award celebrates the acceleration of social, ethical, and philanthropic activities by recognizing individuals, companies, or initiatives that have made significant contributions to improving patient engagement, promoted corporate social responsibility, and improved healthcare accessibility and equity.
The CPHI Pharma Awards 2023 will close entries on May 15, 2023, and the winners will be announced at the annual CPHI Worldwide event in Milan, Italy. Previous winners include some of the most notable pharma manufacturing CEOs, including Piramal, WuXi AppTec, Catalent, and last year’s winner, Aragen Life Sciences. The awards offer industry players an opportunity to showcase their achievements and innovations, highlighting their real-world impacts on delivery and improving patient outcomes and experiences. The awards’ judging panel comprises experienced professionals from various sectors, including academia, research, industry, and healthcare, who will scrutinize the entries to ensure that the winners are deserving of the recognition.
